Maxime Evrard is since September 2019 assistant in administrative law at the University of Hasselt. He is also conducting a PhD in which he seeks to explore the legal boundaries to the outsourcing of administrative decision-making powers to algorithmic systems and the adequacy of the traditional control mechanisms of administrative action.
Prior to joining UHasselt, Maxime had been working for two years as a Lawyer in public and administrative law at the Brussels Bar. He holds a Master of Laws from the UCLouvain (2016 – magna cum laude) and a L.L.M. in European and International Law from Tilburg University (2017 – cum laude).
