Experience

Alfonso Lamadrid de Pablo is a senior associate at the EU and competition law Department of Garrigues (Brussels).

He obtained a Law degree with a specialization in EU Law from San Pablo CEU University, and has completed an LL.M. in European Legal Studies at the College of Europe and an LL.M. at Harvard Law School.

He has advised international clients in numerous cases at EU and national level involving a broad range of antitrust issues, notably in relation to cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, mergers and State aids. Alfonso also has extensive litigation experience in EU Competition cases.

He has published extensively on international and EU competition law matters and is regularly invited to lecture and participate in conferences. Alfonso is also co-director of the annual course on EU and Spanish competition law at the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (Madrid).
