Experience

Johan Ysewyn is the head of the European Antitrust group of Covington & Burling LLP, based in Brussels and London.  His practice has a strong focus on international and European cartel investigations and he has defended companies from a range of sectors.

He acted for companies under investigation in alleged cartels, inter alia in oil derivatives, manufacturing, banking, cereal trading, retail, batteries and pharmaceuticals. In the light of his experience, he has written and lectured extensively on international cartel and leniency-related issues. With Ewoud Sakkers, he co-authors the loose-leaf European Cartel Digest.
